GIFT IFSC

The Embassy of India in Lomé (Togo) is pleased to inform that the first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) of India has been established and operationalised at Gujarat International Financial Tec City (GIFT City), Gujarat.  The vision of the Government is to develop GIFT IFSC as a leading internationally recognized financial centre with trusted business regulations, competitive tax structure and ease of doing business.

The GIFT IFSC has been designated as a special international financial jurisdiction, which is treated as a non-resident zone under Foreign Exchange Management (FEM) Regulations, thereby facilitating transactions in any freely convertible foreign currency.  The Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) may utilize GIFT IFSC as a global gateway to channelize investment flows into and out of India to participate in India’s growth story.  They may utilize GIFT IFSC to avail a host of financial services activities, including Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Funds Industry, Aircraft Leasing, Family Office, Ship Leasing, FinTech, etc.

In this context, InFinity Forum 2.0 is being organized on 9th December 2023 as a one-day event in GIFT City Club, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.  The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has kindly given his consent to inaugurate the event virtually.  This year’s edition of InFinity Forum is being organized as a “pre-cursor event” to Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
