KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME

The Know India Programme (KIP) is an important initiative of the Government of India to engage Youth of Indian origin.  It is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in partnership with one or two Indian States.  The Ministry has so far successfully organized 59 KIPs since 2003 in partnership with different States and 2061 candidates from various countries have participated till now.

KIP aims to connect the Youth of Indian origin with their indigenous roots and acquaints them with the transformational changes taking place in India in various fields, e.g., Economic, Science & Technology, Communication & Information Technology, Industrial, Education, Culture, etc.

KIP is a 21-day orientation programme and each KIP Group consists of 40 young persons (18-30 years) of Indian origin (youth holding Indian passports are not eligible).

KIP provides a unique opportunity for students and young professionals of Indian origin to visit India.  The Ministry of External Affairs extends complete hospitality to the selected participants during their stay in India and bears 90% of the cost of international airfare (the remaining 10% is to be borne by the selected candidate).

The details of next three KIPs (60th, 61st and 62nd) have been announced by the Ministry on the KIP Portal (www.kip.gov.in).

Embassy invites nominations from the interested eligible persons from Togo for the forthcoming three KIPs.
