Global Pravasi Rishta Portal

         The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has launched the “Global Pravasi Rishta Portal” as a dynamic portal to establish an effective communication channel to connect with the Indian diaspora worldwide.  The Portal seeks to establish as a three-way communication between the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian diplomatic missions, and the Diaspora.

The Portal will facilitate the Government of India to connect with the overseas Indian community through Indian Missions.  This will also facilitate members of Indian diaspora to various new and existing government schemes benefiting them in various areas of interest.  This would also enable the diaspora to reach consular office/services in a timely manner.

This Portal will assist during any crisis management and lend a helping hand, by communicating with the diaspora on a real-time basis and will have the ability to issue emergency alerts and advisories.  It can also be used for collecting opinion of the diaspora on important policy issues, sharing e-newsletters, conducting surveys, online B2B matchmaking, presentation of technical innovations, submission of diaspora literary and art works etc.
